APOSTOLIC ACTING OUT

LIGHT THE NIGHT

Picture
Psalm 105:39
39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
Acts 26:18
18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

The power of focusing can be seen in light. Widely spread or scattered light has little power or impact.

If we try to reach the whole world all at once all by ourselves, we will have little success.

You can concentrate light energy by focusing it.

We can focus our energy on one person at a time and we can make an impact.

With a magnifying glass, the rays of the sun can be focused to set grass or paper on fire.

If we magnify our focus of reaching someone, then we might set them a blaze with the help of God with the Holy Ghost.

When light is focused even more as a laser beam, it can cut through steel.

If we put all of our attention on reaching people and make our focus pin point like a laser beam, we can cut through the steel chains that has this world bound.

Psalm 107:13-15
13 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
15 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Genesis 1:2-5
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Genesis 1:14-18
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

This lesser light we know as the moon. If we think about this in a spiritual perspective, God is actually talking about us.  2 great lights: 1 rules the day (God), 1 rules the night (us).  He made the stars also.  Did you ever think that you are a star of God?  Not only does God call us friend, he calls us stars.  Forget movie stars, sports stars, or music stars.  We are light stars to light the earth.  You were made to light the night.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

2 Samuel 22:29
29 For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.

We are electric, God is our source.  He keeps going on, and on, and on, and on.

GET PLUGGED IN BECAUSE BATTERIES GO DEAD.

ACTS 1:8 – “8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

We need to reenergize with the Holy Ghost.  God lives through us and energizes us every time we get plugged in to Him and He gives us power to go light our dark world.

1 Peter 2:9
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

1 Thessalonians 5:5-13
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

If you are in darkness, you can light your night.  If your school is in darkness, get reenergized and light up that school and ignite it with the Holy Ghost that is within you.

2 Tim 1:5-6
6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

If you live in a home that is full of darkness, you can light that night with the Holy Ghost and fire by yourself if you have to.  Just remember to focus the power of your light through prayer, fasting, reading the Bible, and continually worshipping God in church.

Ephesians 5:8
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

As children of light, we should carry our candle, run to the darkness, and go light our world.

2 Corinthians 4:6
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is that light that shines in us.  He gives us the Holy Ghost and fire to light the night.  One small spark can start an unquenchable fire.  God can spark us as quick as a flash of lightning in the night.  When Jesus shines in our hearts and in our lives, we should pray that it burn so bright that everyone can see it and it is so bright that they can’t help but see it.

John 1:4-5
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Light manifests evil, light manifests darkness, light exposes darkness and evil.

Light never fears darkness; darkness always gives in to light.  The quickest way to get darkness to leave is to light it.

Micah 7:8
8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.

There is a light at the end of your tunnel.  If you are sitting in darkness there is a light that shines bright.  All you have to do is walk to the end of your tunnel.  We all live for that light at the end of our dark tunnel.  It is living for the light of heaven in this dark world.

Romans 13:12
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

When you first turn on the light in the morning, it is so bright that it hurts your eyes because you were used to seeing the darkness.  When you receive the Holy Ghost it will seem so bright to you but I promise it will not hurt anything but the darkness that was in your life.
